About me

How it all began...

As a child I knew being a performer was my heart's desire. I began training at the age of 8 and never looked back! My dance training began with Patsy Swayze's Houston Jazz Ballet Company and the Houston Ballet. I also trained with Chris Wilson's Actors Studio and The Humpries School of Musical Theatre. I attended school each day, then immediately off to lessons. Acting, Dancing, and Singing were my passion, I was in a studio 5-7 days a week. I worked in local, regional, and national Radio, Television, and as Voice Over talent from the age of 8. I performed with Theatre Under the Stars, Casa Manana, Houston Music Theatre, Actors Theatre of Houston, Studio Seven, Houston Jazz Ballet Company, Houston Grande Opera, and the Houston Ballet. I attended the High School of Performing and Visual Arts as a dance major. I moved to NYC to dance with the Luigi Jazz Dance Company at 16 years of age. While in New York City I trained with Robert Joffrey, Frank Hatchett, Martha Graham, ABT, Sue Samuels, Henry LeTang, and Phil Black. When I was 18, I landed a swing position as Sheila and Cassie in the First International Touring Company of A Chorus Line.  I went on to land several Film roles including playing "Crystal Smith" in Urban Cowboy with John Travolta. I married in 1984 and moved to Colorado in 1989 thinking I was done with performing arts. I had found a love for massage therapy and healing arts and set out in a new direction. Upon moving to Canon City, Colorado the only "job" available was a position teaching dance in a gymnastics academy. I accepted a position teaching, a path I never expected to go down! It quickly led to the opening of my own studio! After a few years I longed for a larger city and relocated my studio to Colorado Springs, Colorado where I trained performers for 28 years. My students received scholarships to prestigious performing arts Universities, positions with major Dance Companies, Cruise Ships, Vegas Productions, Broadway, the West End, Film, and Television. I am very proud of all my students, they are performing, writing, running performing arts programs, teaching, directing, and choreographing all over the world! Many Are Business Owners, Doctors, Journalists, Fitness Coaches, Entrepreneurs, and Proud Parents.  I closed my studio in 2009, while I still find myself teaching Master Classes and Directing /Choreographing Musical Theatre productions in Colorado, Texas, and Florida. I also returned to my studies and gained certifications in Life Coaching, Sound Healing, EFT, Reiki, and Essential Oil/Aromatherapy rounding out my healing modalities. Now I spend my days helping others identify and achieve their dreams, mainly through private Coaching. With extensive experience in Life Coaching/Healing Arts and Performing Arts, as well as a vast history of client success, my individualized positive approach will help you attain your goals. I am amazed and awed by all the paths my clients and students have paved.
